Gran Folies among the 55 paellas selected for Clandestinos 2026

Edu Torres, the driving force behind Molino Roca, has chosen Beach Club Gran Folies to take part in Clandestinos on 26 October. It is Spain’s most unique rice gathering, and our kitchen team will bring the flavours of Cala Llamp to an event that brings together top rice chefs from Spain and abroad.

We’re proud to share some great news: Beach Club Gran Folies is one of the 55 rice dishes selected for Clandestinos 2026. It’s the leading annual celebration of Valencian paella and fine dining, organised by Edu Torres, the man behind the renowned Molino Roca rice.

For us, this is recognition of our kitchen team’s work over the last few seasons. It also shows how central food has become at Gran Folies.

A rice feast at a secret location

Clandestinos is nothing like a typical food congress. Its hallmark is mystery: the venue stays secret until the very last moment. There, more than 50 of the best rice chefs, including Michelin-starred chefs, cook at the same time over open fire in a festive, relaxed atmosphere.

The event was created to celebrate Valencian paella and the work of local rice farmers. It brings together chefs from all over Spain and from places such as New York, Argentina, Malta and England. Past editions have featured chefs including Mario Sandoval, Paco Roncero, Rodrigo de la Calle and Luis Valls, as well as well-known faces such as Imanol Arias, Raquel Meroño and David Guapo.

Edu Torres and Molino Roca: a passion for rice since 1903

Behind Clandestinos is Edu Torres. His family has been dedicated to rice since 1903, and he is one of the best-known voices of Spanish rice culture. At Molino Roca he combines Valencian tradition with contemporary fine dining, and he works closely with some of the world’s leading chefs.

Mallorca at the great rice gathering

We’ll travel to this edition to share our take on Mediterranean cooking, learn from the great rice specialists and keep building a cuisine with its own identity. In our kitchen, rice dishes sum up what we stand for: tradition, top-quality produce and technical precision.

We’ll tell you all about the experience soon. In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming you at Cala Llamp to enjoy our rice dishes by the sea.
